Layout of the Magazine

The magazine itself is split up into a few main sections that give a good fluidity with the reader. It always starts with a section called “up front”, which are quick notes from the Editor and letters that have been sent in to the Editor. It is a personal statement from the Editor and usually revolves around some experience they have had during the week.

It continues with “Top of The Week”, which are what they deem to be 4 or 5 of the top stories coming from the past week. In this given issue, the topics were: Data Difficulties, RFID, Retail ROI, Outsourcing, and News Scans at Microsoft. Each article goes in-depth on the story it is professing, and lends a lot of information to the reader. Following those stories comes the cover story, where story revolves around something important in the Tech. world, and is always entertaining and informational.

The magazine then continues on with smaller stories that can involve software tools, business processes, infrastructures, and data points that they find important to the readers of the magazine. Each section gives a lot of information that I do not find anywhere else.
